Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. George Yacoub began his dental journey at Misr University for Science and Technology in Cairo, where he also completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. He later pursued a fellowship in laser dentistry through the University of Genoa in Italy. After practicing alongside his father in their family clinic in Egypt for a while, Dr. Yacoub moved to the United States to further his career. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Pediatric Dental Department Award for Excellence.
Driven by a deep passion for working with children, Dr. Yacoub matched with the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. To better serve the emotional and developmental needs of his patients, he is also pursuing a master’s degree in Child Psychology and Development.
Dr. Yacoub is fluent in both English and Arabic and is currently learning Spanish to better connect with the diverse families he serves.
Outside of dentistry, he is an avid adventurer who enjoys traveling, skydiving, parasailing, and snorkeling. He finds joy in spending time at the beach, exploring new cities, and immersing himself in different cultures. He also has a special passion for creative writing and theater, which he sees as powerful tools for expression, empathy, and storytelling.
