FIRST VISIT

Your child’s first visit should be scheduled within six months of the eruption of the first tooth or by age one as endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). The purpose of this visit is to establish a Dental Home and to provide parental education for prevention of oral disease.

Your child’s first visit will consist of a dental cleaning, x-rays and fluoride treatment (when applicable), a dental examination, and oral hygiene Instructions. At this visit, your child’s medical and dental history will be reviewed and evaluated. Each step of the procedure will be explained prior to your child being seated in the dental chair. We will provide you with many opportunities to ask questions and to be involved with your child’s visit.
